Amos Tamam's Amazing Taxi Fare System

Amos Tamam arrived in the United States in the early 1980's looking for a great business opportunity. He had trained as a electrical engineer at Tel Aviv University in Isreal and was looking to find a way to put his education to use.

Amos Tamam began his career in the United States servicing taxicabs in a fleet garage in New York City. Now thirty years later Amos Tamam is still in the taxi industry. He now is the CEO of Verifone Transportation System, Inc. Verifone provides technology and systems that enable taxi fleets to accept credit card payments.

This technology has allowed taxi drivers in New York City and Philadelphia to carry less cash thus deterring taxi cab robberies from happening. Amos Tamam plans to bring this system to more American Cities.
