Jeff Barcy: A True American Investor

Jeff Barcy is an experienced investment executive. He has had great success in real estate investment and finance.

Jeff Barcy graduated from Harvard College with a MBA from the Harvard Business School. After graduation he went onto work for Wall Street.

He first worked in the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. It was there that Jeff Barcy showed exceptional leadership qualities. He was promoted from Associate to Director of the real estate investment banking practice. Jeff Barcy worked on a 20 billion dollar account. In addition, he worked very hard at financing and getting a wide range of clients to work together.

In 2005 Jeff Barcy joined up with the management team at Hearthstone, a leading institutional investor in for-sale residential real estate. Jeff sourced and managed deals for a real estate opportunity fund. Thus in turn helping grow his company from $75 million to approximately $1 billion of committed capital.

To date, Jeff Barcy is CEO and co-founder of Ridgeback Partners, an investment management firm formed in 2007 to take advantage of compelling distressed residential opportunities in the U.S. market. Ridgeback Partners manages over several billion dollars of investor capital, 125 residential investments, and is a company of 75 people and growing.
